Class A2 pacific numbered 60513 DANTE personifies the power of steam as it blasts its way south from Peterborough on the east coast main line sometime in the early 1960s. The locomotive is enveloped in its own exhaust as smoke struggles to break free from within the confines of the bridge beneath which it has just passed. Far from being named in honour of the writer however the creator of this inferno, like so many of its class, was named after a racehorse.
